Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas

Provides assistance, case management, and supportive services to low-income individuals, families, & homeless individuals.

Services include:

  • English language learning
    • Free English language learning classes, offered on a quarterly basis. 
    • Class details such as location and schedule announced every quarter. For more information, email english@catholiccharitiesks.org or call 913-433-2100.
  • Family Financial Transformations
    • Financial coaching, budgeting, education, goal development, Kansas Loan Pool Project,
      and more.
  • Food, clothing, and hygiene pantry
    • Pantry open Monday through Thursday from 9 AM to 4 PM. Pantry can be accessed once every 30 days. 
    • To-go transitional food bags available for unhoused people once weekly. 
  • Pregnancy and adoption support
    • Pregnancy support for expecting mothers; supports mother and baby through pregnancy and early days of child’s life.
    • Adoption support services for expectant parents. 
    • All services are free and voluntary. 
  • Rent and utility assistance
    • Offered by appointment only. Call Thursday mornings beginning at 9 am to schedule an appointment. Eviction notice and/or utility disconnect required at time of appointment. 
  • Workforce Development program
    • General employment program helps with resume building, interview prep, training, certification, and job coaching.
