This is Your Invitation to Join Kids’ Action Club

Kids’ Action club is a group for 8-11 year olds who want to do their civic duty by participating in community service projects. At the library we are kids working together for a better tomorrow and creating a better Lawrence. Some of the action we participate in includes fundraising for non-profits in the community, raising awareness about community needs, and learning from local leaders about our civic duties. Getting in on the action is easy!

Simply register online and come to our meetings to find out what impact we can make on our community. Kids’ Action Club meets on the first Thursday of every month from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. You can sign up for our next meeting, and see future meeting dates at the link below:

Exciting opportunities!

Our next event we are working on is the Read, then Lead event happening in conjunction with the Federal Bar Association Kansas and Western Missouri Chapter where we will be hosting a book giveaway.  This event will be at Lawrence Public Library, in the Auditorium, where we will be helping give out civics based books to kids ages 5-15.
