Morriscopes for All
Morris had a tremendous year at the Lawrence Public Library, from LPL Con to Littles Dance Parties to Ride the Bus Storytime to checking out a bazillion books. In order to celebrate the wrapping up of 2025, and share ways to be more involved at the library and utilize its resources in 2026, Morris divined special Morriscopes for every star sign!
Capricorn: (December 22 – January 19) Take some time to celebrate all your accomplishments this year, and lean into your ambition by amping up your reading goals in the new year!
Aquarius: (January 20 – February 18) Morris has been blown away by all the ways you’ve innovated this year. Your social-mindedness and generosity may lead you to support your local library with a financial donation at LPLFF.org/give.
Pisces: (February 19 – March 20) Your intuition has led you to some of the best reads this year! Make a list of your favorite library books and share it with friends.
Aries: (March 21 – April 19) Morris knows that as energetic people, you’ve probably attended a lot of LPL events in 2025. Peruse through the 2026 calendar on the website and start mapping out which ones to invite friends to!
Taurus: (April 20 – May 20) With your patience and reliability, you’re some of our most consistent patrons. If you’re wanting to read a specific book and we don’t have it, get on our website and suggest it for purchase.
Gemini: (May 21 – June 21) Morris loves the curiosity of Geminis; they are voracious book devourers. As strong communicators, visit our website and scroll down to the feedback button to share some uplifting comments with your local librarians.
Cancer: (June 22 – July 22) Your value of comfort, coziness, and safe spaces means you looove spending time in the library. If you’re looking for some extra solitude, book one of our study rooms or quiet booths.
Leo: (July 23 – August 22) Your confident, charismatic nature could make you a great performer. Try out the Sound + Vision studio to make a videocast, podcast, or record some music.
Virgo: (August 23 – September 22) Morris often spots Virgos in the non-fiction section because they love to learn new things. Allow yourself the downtime you need as well, by checking out a cozy read and spending an afternoon in bed.
Libra: (September 23 – October 23) Your charming demeanor makes you a lovely library patron. As someone who is diplomatic and fair-minded, you might make a great librarian too!
Scorpio: (October 24 – November 21) Scorpios are drawn to books with complex characters and mysteries to solve. If you find yourself having less time to make it into the library, place your books on hold to pick up at one of our booklockers!
Sagittarius: (November 22 – December 21) The library brightens up when you share your optimism and enthusiasm around here. If you have some extra to spare, sign up for some of our fun volunteer opportunities at LPL in 2026!
