Lifeline Program: Phone & Internet Service Discounts

The Lifeline program connects eligible low-income families and individuals to discounts that can lower the cost of phone and internet services. The Federal portion of this program provides low-income households a monthly discount of up to $9.25 per month on broadband internet services or eligible phone services (landline or wireless phone). Meanwhile, the State portion of this program provides a discount of up to $7.77 per month on phone service only. Discounts from the state and federal programs can be combined. The Kansas portion of the discount may only be applied to phone service. Federal discounts can be used for phone or internet service
