Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health provides a variety of free or low-cost services to Douglas County residents. Services include:
- immunizations, including travel immunizations
- physicals and screenings for adults
- physicals for daycare, school, sports, employment, etc., requirements
- STI testing and treatment
- pregnancy testing
- family planning and reproductive health
- COVID-19 and influenza testing
- breastfeeding support
- family and child care support
- WIC (Women, Infants and Children) Nutrition
- presumptive eligibility
- family case management through Health Families, Mi Apoyo Prenatal, and Universal Home Visiting
- car seat installation, inspection, and education
- $25 fee; may be covered by insurance, depending on plan and benefits. Plan for a 30-minute appointment, and bring your car seat, any manufacturer instructions, your vehicle, your vehicle's manual, and the child or children who will use the seat.
