Family Promise

Family Promise works with families that are homeless or struggling to maintain housing stability. They serve households with children in care in areas of homelessness prevention, shelter diversion, shelter, housing stabilization. Case management services are provided for all programs. 

  • Prevention program involves application assistance for Housing Stabilization Collaborative Rent & Utility Assistance program, and connecting families to needed resources 
  • Diversion program aims to keeps families out of the shelter system by stabilizing peoples living situations through financial assistance, assistance in finding employment, housing navigation and applying for a Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (administered by the Housing Authority)
  • Shelter-In-Place program is a 30 day program, with an opportunity for an extension. Families stay sheltered in individual apartments or single family homes.
