New Year, New Reads: 2021 Reading Goals for Kids

Whether you’re working towards 1000 Books Before Kindergarten or you’ve graduated onto the 2021 Book Squad Goals, planning a few New Year’s reads is a great way to help you diversify your reading habits. The Book Squad Goals don’t lend themselves as well to children’s lit as they do to books for adults, but that doesn't mean you can't partake in the reading list fun!

Here's my list of 12 books I’d like to read in 2021—they (mostly) correspond to the 2021 Book Squad Goals. When I was compiling my list, I combed through my For Later shelf on the library’s website, where I keep a list of books I’d like to check out in the future. (Whenever I see something in the catalog that I’d like to check out later, I click the For Later button.) Then, when I’m looking for something new to read, I’ll go through my For Later shelf to see what I’m in the mood to read next.

Here are my new reads for 2021. Hopefully, my list will inspire you to make one, too!
