SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) is a state benefits program administered by Kansas' Department for Children and Families. SNAP provides qualifying low-income households with food benefits card to purchase food, access to a healthy diet, and education on food preparation and nutrition.
You can learn about eligibility and fill out an application by:

If you receive SNAP benefits and have questions or concerns about your EBT card, call DCF's Cardholder Support at 800-997-6666.
SNAP recipients may receive additional support through:
- K-State Research and Extension's SNAP-Ed, a free nutrition and cooking education program
- DCF's SNAP Employment Training and Education program, a program that offer vocational training and career support
- Double-Up Food Bucks, a program that doubles the value of SNAP benefits when used at farmers' markets or eligible grocery stores
- Child Support Services, an arm of DCF that helps families receive child support payments
