Assistive Technology for Kansans (ATK)

Assistive Technology for Kansas connects people of all ages, disabilities, and health conditions to assistive technology that helps them work, learn, play, and participate in daily life. 

ATK serves Kansans statewide across demographics, including:

  • Infants and toddlers
  • Students
  • Working age adults
  • Seniors
  • Individuals with vision or hearing loss
  • Persons with disabilities and/or chronic health conditions
  • Farmers, ranchers, and agricultural workers
  • Active-duty soldiers and veterans

Assistive technology solutions can help with:

  • Vision & technology
  • Speech communications, learning, cognition
  • Mobility and seating
  • Daily living and environmental adaptations
  • Vehicle modifications
  • Computer and related technology
  • Recreation and sports adaptations

ATK services include: 

  • Product information
  • Equipment loan
  • Device demonstration
  • Device reuse/recycle
  • Assessment to help match needs to assisitive tech solutions
  • Funding assistance
  • Training on assistive technology

Assistive tech specialists can provide support via the phone, emails, video conferencing software, or other online options. A languag line is avaialble over the phone to help Kansans who prefer to receive services in a language other than English.
