HCCCI provides free financial counseling and education. Topics include:
- budgeting
- debt management
- credit report building
- homebuying, mortgage defaults, or foreclosure
- bankruptcy
- student loan repayment options
- tenant / landlord counseling (including information about fair housing law, rental housing code, and the Kansas Landlord-Tenant act)
HCCCI does not have a physical office in Lawrence but can provide remote services to residents of Northeast Kansas (including Douglas County).
