What Library Love Looks Like

We have the best friends!

2017 was a wildly successful year for our best Friends.

Between countless volunteer hours, new memberships, donations, legendary book sales, DownHall Books collections, and "Amazon internet treasure hunts," the Friends of the Lawrence Public Library translated all of that effort into a whopping $90,000 check to the library last week.

Our Friends are invaluable and their contributions directly support community-wide programs like Read Across Lawrence, Summer Reading, and Dinner and A Movie.

But, they are also deeply invested in the long-term promotion of literacy in the Lawrence community and advocating for a strong, vibrant, and contemporary community library.

If you're looking for a way to support library collections, programs, and services while making friends along the way, reach out to Angela Hyde about becoming both a Friends member and an essential force in growing our library community.
